Record Breaking Day For Anastacia Wells Not Enough As Women's Lacrosse Falls To Potsdam

POTSDAM, NY – Anastacia Wells (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) picked up three caused turnovers to claim sole possession of the Buffalo State program record for career caused turnovers, however, the Buffalo State women's lacrosse team dropped their SUNYAC matchup with the Potsdam Bears this afternoon with a 20-11 final on the Maxcy Turf Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Bengals got the scoring started as Josker found the back of the net less than a minute into the action.
  • Potsdam quickly responded with a pair of goals before Buffalo State would retake the lead with back-to-back goals.
  • Wells picked up her record breaking caused turnover in the first which eventually led to a Buffalo State goal.
  • The Bears found their rhythm in the second quarter and carried a narrow 8-6 lead into halftime.
  • Potsdam took control in the second half outscoring the Bengals 12-5.
  • The Bengals were 15-17 on clear attempts but were outshot 35-30 overall by Potsdam.
 
FOR THE FOES
  • Lindsay LaDue led Potsdam with five goals, two assists, four ground balls, and nine draw controls.
  • In goal, Jane Olszewski and Olivia Minarich combined for eight saves.
