- Vanessa Willick (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville East) led the Bengals with eight goals and eight draw controls; Willick reached 100 draw controls for her career.
- Fineour, Emilee Josker (Hamburg, NY/Frontier), and Lauren Rinow (Lakeview, NY/Frontier) each had a pair of goals while Josker added seven draw controls of her own.
- Wells led the Bengals on defense with five ground balls and three caused turnovers.
- Brielle Lum (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara-Wheatfield) earned her first career win in goal for the Bengals.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Buffalo State got the scoring started early in the first with a pair of goals.
- After Oneonta got on the board, the Bengals went on to score five of the next seven goals overall to extend their to lead to 7-3.
- The Red Dragons fought back early in the second netting three consecutive goals.
- The Bengals responded with a trio of their own before each side would add one more before the half; Buffalo State carried an 11-7 lead halfway through.
- Coming out of the break, the two sides traded a pair of free position goals.
- The Bengals then went on to score four of five to keep the momentum going and carry a 15-9 lead into the final minutes of action.
- After an early goal from Josker in the fourth, the Red Dragons offense rallied for six unanswered goals to cut the Bengal lead to just two.
- Despite the late surge from the Red Dragons, Buffalo State was able to close out the final seconds to secure the win.
FOR THE FOES
- Lauren Mancini led the Red Dragons with four goals.
- Cassidy Moore picked up a pair of goals, a pair of assists, and four draw controls.
