Makhia Laster (Buffalo, NY/Tapestry Charter was named Most Valuable Performer of the meet, as the Buffalo State women's track and field team placed fifth at the SUNYAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday afternoon at Geneseo.

FOR THE BENGALS
- Sawyer claimed individual titles in the 100-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles, breaking her own school record, and setting a new conference record in the 100 hurdles with a time of 13.77 seconds.
- Sawyer's time in the 400 hurdles was 1:00.56, winning by more than five seconds over the second-place finisher.
- In the 4x400-meter relay, Jenna Raczka (Cheektowaga, NY/Maryvale) got the Bengals out in first place after the first lap. Sophia Janik (Lockport, NY/Akron) ran the second leg, and Laster went under a minute in the third leg to put the Bengals in second place at the final handoff. Sawyer closed the race in impressive fashion, pulling ahead for the victory by over three seconds with a time of 3:56.48.
- Raczka also finished third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.10 seconds, and was eighth in the 200-meter dash in 26.45 seconds.
- Laster took second in the 100-meter dash in 12.21 seconds and third in the 200 meters in 24.93 seconds, adding to her impressive meet that also included a victory in the long jump on Friday, and her total of 24 individual points, plus combining for 10 points in the relay, was the most by any female athlete at the meet. .
