BUFFALO, NY – Led by a hat trick from
Diego Rivera (East Meadow, NY/Cairo Durham) the Buffalo State men's soccer team won the Fred Hartrick Classic after defeating the Mount Aloysius Mounties in a 4-2 fashion tonight on Coyer Field.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Rivera's hat trick was the second of his career. His other came last season in a matchup against Oswego.
- Manu Prieto (Cascais, Portugal/Salesianos Do Estoril) picked up three assists, all on Rivera's goals.
- Liam Molloy (Rego Park, NY/Archbishop Molloy) also scored for the Bengals as he netted his first collegiate goal. Rivera picked up the assist on the goal.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Rivera got the Bengals on the board roughly halfway into the first half after a header off a pass from Prieto.
- The Bengals got another opportunity shortly after as Prieto swiped the ball from a Mountie defender as passed up to Rivera for the score.
- Molloy scored early in the second half after Rivera found him right in front of the net for the easy tap-in.
- Camacho scored roughly ten minutes later to get the Mounties on the board.
- After a Bengal yellow card, Camacho came to the line for a penalty kick and scored to shrink the Bengals' lead to just one.
- Prieto sent a perfect pass to Rivera who had a breakaway opportunity to secure the hat trick, and ultimately secure a Bengals win.

- Juan Camacho scored twice for the Mounties.
- Sam Denchfield made five saves in goal in the effort.
