INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
  • Prieto's hat trick was the first of his career. He also led the team with five shots in total.
  • Diego Rivera (East Meadow, NY/Cairo Durham) continued his hot start to the season with a goal and three assists.
  • Adam Webster (York, England/Woldgate College), Stephen Haven (Cheektowaga, NY/Cheektowaga), and Liam Molloy (Rego Park, NY/Archbishop Molloy) each scored for Buffalo State.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Webster got the scoring started for the Bengals less than five minutes into the action after a pass from Rivera.
  • Haven scored his first goal of the season later in the half following an assist from Sam Gregson (Anglesey, Wales/Ysgol David Hughes).
  • Less than three minutes later, Prieto scored his first goal of the night to give the Bengals a 3-0 lead heading into halftime.
  • Both sides were aggressive at the start of the half, but neither could find the back of the net.
  • Molly and Prieto padded the Bengals' lead with back-to-back goals less than one minute apart.
  • Later in the half, Prieto netted his third goal to secure the hat trick. The hat trick makes it back-to-back games for the Bengals as Rivera scored three against Mt. Aloysius last time out.
  • Rivera secured the Bengals win with the team's seventh goal of the afternoon as the team outshout the Saxons 17-6.
