FREDONIA, NY – The Buffalo State men's soccer team continued their hot start to the season with a 2-1 victory over Braynt & Stratton to close out the Fredonia Classic this afternoon at University Stadium.

- Adam Webster (York, England/Woldgate College) and Diego Rivera (East Meadow, NY/Cairo Durham) each scored for Buffalo State.
- Stephen Haven (Cheektowaga, NY/Cheektowaga) and Manu Prieto (Cascais, Portugal/Salesianos do Estoril) each tallied an assist.
- Shae Wirt (Overland Park, KS/St. Thomas Aquinas) needed to make just two saves in goal for the Bengals.
- Rivera has now scored in every game this season. Combined on the year, Prieto and Rivera have nine goals across the first four games while connecting on six of those goals.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Webster got the scoring started for the Bengals for the second straight game after the pass from Haven less than four minutes into the action.
- Both sides would remain in a stalemate until late in the first half when Rivera scored after a pass from Prieto to give the Bengals a 2-0 lead heading into halftime.
- The two teams went quiet on offense in the second half until the Bobcats scored with just two seconds remaining in the action.
- Buffalo State outshot the Bobcats 15-6 overall in the win and have started 4-0 for the first time since 2019.
FOR THE FOES
- Jadon Morgan scored the lone goal for Bryant & Stratton.
- Thomas Long and Benjamin Hafner combined for four saves for the Bobcats.
