Men’s Soccer Continues Dominance as Conference Play Begins

HAMBURG, NY – The Buffalo State men's soccer team continued its winning ways in dominating fashion, with a 6-0 victory over the Hilbert College Hawks, and their undefeated season in-tact before conference play.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
  • Manu Prieto (Cascais, Portugal/Salesianos Do Estoril) continued his point streak, now at three games, with a four-point performance in two goals and two assists.  
  • Shae Wirt (Overland Park, KS/St. Thomas Aquinas) protected the fort, with a four save shutout game, his third straight shutout performance.
 HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Bengals blitzed the Hawks early with a goal in the first six minutes of play…and it would only get worst as the Bengals put up five goals within the first 30 minutes of play.
  • As halftime approached, the Bengals notched another goal in the 36th minute and entered halftime with a convincing 6-0 lead and would hold through in their full 90 minutes of play.
  • The Bengals outshot the Hawks 25 to four with 15 shots on goal. 
 FOR THE FOES
  • Cam Murdie, Luciano Gallo, Carter Burke and Jason Vullo were all credited for a shot on goal for the Hawks.
  • Daniel Downes saved nine shots in between the net for the Hawks.
