Steve Murphy is now the all-time winningest coach in the history of the men's hockey program as he passed Nick Carriere (2005-15) with career win 110.

- Jason Kwestel (Rockaway, NJ/Valley Wildcats) paced the Bengals with a goal and an assist. Kwestel has now scored in three straight games and has registered at least one point in five consecutive games.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Buffalo State got the scoring started as Jake Meure (Fremont, CA/Ogden Mustangs) scored on a power play opportunity.
- Just a few minutes later, Sutton Murray (Rochester Hills, MI/Pembroke Lumber Kings) scored giving Buffalo State a swift 2-0 lead.
- Chatham was able to score before the end of the period to cut the lead in half.
- Early in the second period, Connor Bizal (Elk River, MN/Boston Jr. Rangers) got in on the action with his fifth goal of the year.
- The Cougars stayed in the game with another goal as they trailed 3-2 heading into the third period.
- Kwestel scored in the third period giving Buffalo State a late 4-2 lead.
- Less than a minute later, the Cougars scored again to stay in the action late.
- The Bengals were able to hold off Chatham in the final minutes to secure the win.

- Three different Cougars found the back of the net.
- Geno Pichora made 33 saves in goal for Buffalo State.
