INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
  • Bryce Williams (Jamaica, NY/ Campus Magnet) led the Bengals in scoring for the night with 19-points, with Nate Severson (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) backing him up with 17-points.
  • Zee Johnson (Rochester, NY/Greece-Athena) led the Bengals in rebounds, pulling down eight boards in tonight's contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • After splitting their last four games, the Bengals looked to start their road trip in a strong manner, taking on the Fredonia Blue Devils. Beginning the first half, both teams looked to get the jump early as points were traded quickly. With the Bengals holding tight, the Blue Devils would rip off a 9-0 run, jumping up on the Bengals with a seven-point lead. With the Bengals continuing to fight back and getting the deficit within three-points, the Blue Devils would rip another run, this time an 8-0 to head into halftime up 11-points on the Bengals.
  • Facing a double-digit deficit entering the second half, the Bengals looked to keep things within arms distance. But the Blue Devils would keep the game in their hands, extending their lead over the Bengals by 16-points. A strong half point run from the Bengals would see the deficit drop within single digits but too little, too late is the trend…as the Bengals struggled to get the game any closer, leading to a Blue Devils victory by 12-points.
FOR THE FOES
  • Brandon Kulakowski and Martin Garza led all scorers with 20-points each for the Blue Devils.
  • Kulakowski would also lead the Blue Devils in rebounds, pulling down nine boards today.
