BROCKPORT, NY – The Buffalo State indoor track and field teams returned to action this afternoon as they competed in the Brockport Friday Night Rust Buster at the SERC.

The Bengal Breakdown
- Makhia Laster (Buffalo, NY/Tapestry Charter) led the way for the Bengals with a school record performance in the long jump with a leap of 5.80 meters. That mark gives Laster the record in both the indoor and outdoor long jump as today she broke Niasha Houpe's leap of 5.79 meters from back in 2015.
- The men's 4x400 relay of Sidney Morris (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore East), Nolan Lyon (North Tonawanda, NY/Niagara-Wheatfield), Tristan Clerk (Staten Island, NY/Susan E. Wagner), and Noah Holden (Clarence Center, NY/Clarence) raced to a second place finish with a time of 3:37.15.
- Logan Abate (Green Brook, NJ/Watchung Hills) took third in the 60-meter final with a time of 7.14 seconds. Abate later went on to finish fifth in the 200-meter with a time of 23.41 seconds.
- Gio Ventura (Geneva, NY/Geneva) finished second in the 3,000-meter with a time of 9:13.54 while Jalil Coppedge (Bronx, NY/Ralph R. McKee) also took home a second place finish in the 60-meter hurdles.
- Bryan Honan (Cortland, NY/Cortland) took home fourth in the weight throw with a mark of 14.96 meters.
