PITTSBURGH, PA – The Buffalo State women's hockey team came away with a 6-1 victory tonight against the Chatham Cougars with a final score of 6-1 at The Hunt Armory.

- Laney Harrold (Hubbardston, MA/Portsmouth Abbey) and Carys Ursell (Calgary, AB/Calgary Fire) each picked up a goal and an assist.
- Maddie Braun (East Aurora, NY/Hamburg Hawks) and Sage Running Rabbit (Naughton, ON/Sudbury Lady Wolves) each had two assists.
- Jessica Auge (Laingsburg, MI/Honeybaked Detroit) made 17 saves in goal for the Bengals.
- Overall, Buffalo State outshot the Cougars 44-18.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The two sides exchanged goals in the first period to set the score at 1-1.
- Buffalo State's offense exploded for three goals in the second period as Harrold, Silva, and Vanessa Willick (Williamsville, NY/Buffalo Bisons) scored. Willick's goal came on a short-handed opportunity for the Bengals.
- Ursell and Arissa Vettraino (Lake Villa, IL/Milwaukee Jr. Admirals) each scored in the third period to seal the win for the Bengals.
FOR THE FOES
- Liv McTavish scored the lone Cougar goal.
- Lindsey Batz made 38 saves in goal in the effort.
