ROCHESTER, NY – The Buffalo State men's volleyball team earned a four-set win over Wittenberg to close out the St. John Fisher Invite this afternoon at the Manning & Napier Varsity Gym.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Gavin Wilczewski (Elma, NY/East Aurora) registered 19 kills with a .295 attack percentage while Davian Serrano Colon (Naranjito, Puerto Rico) put up 15 of his own.
- Drew Bowman (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) gave out 36 assists while Alex Vega (Cambita Garabitos, Dominican Republic) had 26 digs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The start of the opening set was a back-and-forth affair between the Bengals and the Tigers.
- A late 12-6 run was enough for Buffalo State to secure the first set.
- The second set was much of the same. With the score even at 14, Wittenberg applied pressure on the Bengals, but Buffalo State was able to score five of the final six points to win the second set.
- The Tigers bounced-back in the third set to force the Bengals into a fourth set.
- Wittenberg jumped out to a dominant 19-8 lead in the fourth set.
- The Bengals rallied for a 9-1 run to cut the Tigers' lead to 20-17. Buffalo State kept the momentum going to win nine of the final 12 points to secure the win.
FOR THE FOES
- Eli Halverson and Michael Yurk each had 13 kills for the Tigers.
- Sam Richardson dished out 30 assists in the effort.

The Bengals return to action on Tuesday as they will travel to Thiel for a non-conference matchup.
