CANTON, NY – The Buffalo State men's basketball team picked up a thrilling SUNYAC win against the SUNY Canton Roos with a 66-62 final this afternoon at the Roos House.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Zee Johnson (Rochester, NY/Greece Athena) and Bryce Williams (Jamaica, NY/Campus Magnet) led the Bengals with 17 points apiece.
- Chisom Ani (Elmont, NY/John Browne) had a team-high 10 rebounds.
- Williams also posted three assists, two blocks, and a steal.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Canton came out of the gates hot jumping out to a quick 20-4 lead.
- After a fast break layup from Williams, Buffalo State went on a 18-2 run to even the score at 22-22.
- Both sides would trade baskets heading into halftime as Canton had a slim 31-30 lead.
- Coming out of the break, Canton was able to stay in control. However, the Bengals never saw their deficit go past five as they eventually evened the score at 59-all with just under two minutes to go in regulation.
- Johnson hit a big layup with under one minute to go and was also able to draw a foul to give the Bengals the lead.
- After Canton began to foul the Bengals, the Roos put up one last basket at the buzzer, but were unable to catch Buffalo State.
FOR THE FOES
- Bryon Streb led all scorers with 24 points while Kevin Goode Jr. chipped in 21 points.
- Eli Larson added 10 points with nine rebounds, an assist, a steal, and a pair of blocks.
