HOW IT HAPPENED
- Facing off against the Red Dragons for the second time this season, the Bengals looked to correct their mistakes from the last matchup and split the season series. In the first half, things looked shaky as the Red Dragons would open up on a 11-0 run. A strong response from the Bengals would keep the first half within arms-reach, bringing the deficit to five-points midway through the half. However, the Red Dragons would go on another run, this time a 7-0 run before knocking down a three-pointer and take the lead into halftime up 17-points on the Bengals.
- In the second half, the Bengals came out aggressive, attacking the Red Dragons on the offensive end. But, for every Bengals basket, the Red Dragons would answer back, keeping this game within a double-digit deficit as the 10-minute marker of the half hit. This would lead to another 9-0 Red Dragons run late in the half…just too much for the Bengals to recover, dropping this road matchup against the Red Dragons.
FOR THE FOES
- Aaron Coston led all scorers with 20-points, with Isaiah Austin chipping in with 19-points.
- Coston also led the Red Dragons with seven rebounds in this matchup.
