- Gavin Wilczewski (Elma, NY/East Aurora) led the Bengals with 14 kills.
- Jackson Stang (Tonawanda, NY/Sweet Home) dished out 35 assists while Alex Vega (Cambita Garabitos, Dominican Republic) had 11 digs.
- Kaden Strong (Buffalo, NY/West Seneca East) was a force at the net adding three blocks.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a back-and-forth affair in the opening set, Mount Union went on a 9-2 run to take control. The Purple Raiders then went on to score six of the final eight points to win the first set.
- Mount Union the lead early in the second set and held off the Bengals down the stretch to win the set.
- Buffalo State had a 24-21 lead in the final set, but Mount Union stormed back to score six of the final seven points to secure the win.
FOR THE FOES
- Jack McClure led Mount Union with 11 kills with 13 digs.
- Will Heeney dished out 29 assists.
