BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Buffalo State women's soccer team secured a 1–0 victory over the SUNY Oneonta Red Dragons in their latest SUNYAC outing.

  • Reagan Michel (East Aurora, NY/East Aurora) scored the lone goal for the Bengals, with Lilly Jaroszewski (El Paso, TX/Coronado) picking up the assist.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • After falling to the Cortland Red Dragons in their last outing, the Buffalo State Bengals looked to bounce back with a strong performance as they hosted the SUNY Oneonta Red Dragons. Opening play in the first half, the Bengals came out on the attack, applying early pressure to the Red Dragons' defensive backline. After trading possession through the midfield, the Bengals' persistence paid off with a goal in the 41st minute to take the lead heading into halftime.
  • Exiting the halftime break, the Bengals continued to dictate the pace of play as the Red Dragons searched for the equalizer. Despite a few dangerous chances from the visitors, Williams and the Bengals' defense stood tall to preserve the advantage, closing out the SUNYAC matchup with a hard-fought win. The Bengals outshot the Red Dragons, 21-11.
FOR THE FOES
  • Kaiden Ring, Karsyn Kondracki and Brenna Mast tied for two-shots on goal.
  • In goal, Bryanna Meehan made 13 saves in fulltime action.
UP NEXT
With three games remaining in SUNYAC play, the Bengals will take their final road trip of the 2025 regular season, traveling to New Paltz on Saturday, October 18th to face the Hawks at 1:00 p.m.
