HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Following a tough loss to the Oswego State Lakers last night, the Buffalo State Bengals looked to rebound as they hosted Senior Day against the SUNY Canton Roos.
  • In the opening set, the Bengals jumped out to an early lead, looking to take control of the match. A three-point rally from the Roos evened the score, but the Bengals answered right back with a four-point run of its own to regain momentum. Despite a late push from the Roos, the Bengals closed the set with six straight points to take the opener.
  • The Bengals carried their momentum into the second set, winning the "race to 15" behind strong offensive execution and steady defensive play. The Bengals never looked back, maintaining control throughout to claim the second set and move one step closer to the sweep.
  • In the third and final set, the Bengals stayed composed and held off a relentless Roos comeback attempt. With disciplined play on both sides of the ball, the Bengals sealed the sweep and celebrated a well-earned Senior Day victory.
FOR THE FOES
  • Abby Raven led the Roos with seven kills, with Lauren Norman led with 14 assists.
  • On the defensive side, Daycee Bane led with ten digs while Raven led in front of the net with two blocks.
