HOW IT HAPPENED
- Clinching a spot in the SUNYAC Playoffs, the Buffalo State Bengals hosted the Oswego State Lakers in a matchup to solidify postseason positioning.
- Opening the first half, both teams battled in difficult weather conditions, but it was the Bengals who found their footing first with a goal in the 21st minute of play. With high winds and constant rain, offensive chances came at a premium, yet the Bengals' defense stayed composed, turning away several Lakers' pushes to carry a one-goal advantage into halftime.
- In the second half, the Lakers continued to pressure the Bengals' backline as the weather began to shift in their favor. Despite the Bengals' resilient defensive effort, the Lakers would find the equalizer in the 80th minute to tie the match.
