HOW IT HAPPENED
- Coming off their first win of the season yesterday afternoon, the Bengals looked to complete the weekend sweep over the King's College Monarchs, and they delivered.
- In the opening period, the Bengals set the tone early, dominating possession and keeping the puck pinned in the Monarchs' defensive zone. Despite an early stand from the Monarchs, the Bengals' relentless pressure paid off with a goal in the 14th minute. Just four minutes later, they doubled their advantage, taking a two-goal lead into the first intermission.
- The Bengals wasted no time extending their lead in the second period, striking in the opening minutes to make it 3–0. The Monarchs managed to respond late in the period with a goal in the 18th minute, cutting the deficit to two, but the Bengals answered right back before the horn, netting their fourth of the day to restore the three-goal cushion heading into the final frame.
- The third period saw the Bengals maintain full control, shutting down any offensive push from the Monarchs. The defense stood tall, and the effort was capped off with a late goal to seal the 5–1 victory, completing the Halloween weekend sweep and improving to 2–0 on the young season.
