BUFFALO, NY – The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announced its 2024-25 men's hockey all-conference team today, recognizing three Buffalo State team members.
Vadim Kiriakov (Tyumen, Russia/Altay Ust-Kamenogorsk) was a Second Team All-SUNYAC selection while
Don Powell (Wixom, MI/P.A.L Jr. Islanders) and
Andrey Manov (West Vancouver, BC/Blind River Beavers) each earned a spot on the All-Rookie Team.
Kiriakov earns his second All-SUNYAC selection after being named to the SUNYAC All-Rookie team a year ago. Kiriakov has been a staple of the Bengals offense leading the team with 33 points on 11 goals and 22 assists with four power play goals and three game winning goals. He has posted three straight games with a goal twice this season and tallied a goal and two assists in last night's SUNYAC First Round win over Canton. Kiriakov also was top three in the conference in points and assists.
Powell earns an All-Rookie selection after a stellar first year with the Bengals. Powell registered 16 points with nine goals and seven assists. Across 24 games played, Powell finished the season with four power play goals and led the team with four game winning goals.
Manov also earns an All-Rookie selection after being a staple on the Bengal defense. Across 21 games, Manov posted 10 points with three goals and seven assists. Manov also led the team with 26 blocked shots on the year and posted an on-ice rating of +7: the third best on the team.
