HOW IT HAPPENED
- Entering this matchup against the SUNY Canton Roos, the Bengals looked to add some momentum towards their end of season playoff push. Opening the first quarter, the Bengals looked to being going toe-to-toe with a talented Roos team, but luck wouldn't be on their side as the Roos would go on a 7-0 run and lockup the Bengals on the defensive end to take an early lead into the second quarter.
- The second quarter would see the Roos continue their attack on the Bengals, stretching their eight-point lead into double digits through the halfway marker of the quarter. While the Bengals would attempt to keep pace, the Roos would end the second quarter on a 11-0 run, with the Bengals facing a 24-point deficit heading into halftime.
- The second half would see the Roos out pace the Bengals in this matchup, leaving the Bengals scoreless in the final five minutes of the third quarter with the Bengals deficit growing to 46 points into the fourth quarter. The Bengals were able to create some nice looks late, thanks in part to some hot-shooting from Douglas but as the final buzzer rang, the Bengals would go down in defeat in this matchup against the Roos.
FOR THE FOES
- Natalie Bartle led the Roos in scoring with 15-points.
- Sierra Pabo, Kate McRobbie-Taru and Torie Moore each pulled down six boards for the Roos.
