BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State women's hockey team fell short against the Morrisville Mustangs tonight with a final score of 4-3 at the Ice Arena.

- Sage Running Rabbit (Siksika, AB/Elite Southern Express) led the Bengals with a goal and an assist.
- Grace Zwolak (Stony Creek, ON/Niagara Falls Rapids) and Kaydence Kemp (Niagara Falls, ON/Niagara Falls Rapids) also scored for the Bengals.
- Vanessa Willick (Williamsville, NY/Buffalo Bisons) picked up a pair of assists while Jessica Auge (Laingsburg, MI/Honeybaked Detroit) made 19 saves in net.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Mustangs got the scoring started with a power play goal to jump out to a quick 1-0 lead.
- Shortly after, Running Rabbit found the back of the net to even the score as the game was tied 1-1 at the end of the first period.
- Morrisville added a pair of goals late in the second period, but Kemp was able to snipe a shot from the right side of the net to bring the Bengals within one.
- Right at the start of the third period, Zwolak scored to even things at 3-3.
- Less than one minute late, the Mustangs scored the eventual game winning goal and they cruised the final minutes of action.

- Tilly Couture scored twice for the Mustangs.
- Sydney Canham made 34 saves in goal for Morrisville.
