GROVE CITY, PA – The Buffalo State women's lacrosse team picked up their fourth win of the season, 16-9, defeating the Grove City Wolverines on the road.

- On the offensive end, Emilee Josker (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) led the Bengals with five goals in tonight's matchup. Kira Grzechowiak (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca West) backed her up with four goals.
- Sage Running Rabbit (Siksika, AB, Canada/Strathmore) led all Bengals in points, with two goals and four assists, to crack over130 career points as a Bengal.
- On the defensive end, Anastacia Wells (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) and Carly Barrett (Forestville, NY/Forestville) finished with four caused turnovers leading the Bengals in that category. Wells' four caused turnovers eclipsed the '100' marker in the career caused turnovers in the women's lacrosse program, congratulations! In net, Brielle Lum (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara-Wheatfield) made seven saves, securing a win for the Bengals.
- As a team, the Bengals outshot the Wolverines 27-22, while also claiming 18 draw controls.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a tough loss on the road, the Bengals aimed to bounce back with a victory over the Grove City Wolverines. The Wolverines struck first in the opening quarter with an early goal, but the Bengals responded quickly, scoring three unanswered goals to take an early lead into the second quarter.
- The second quarter saw the Wolverines rally, scoring back-to-back goals at the start to even the game. Both teams then traded goals for the remainder of the quarter, but the Bengals managed to hold onto their slim lead as halftime approached.
- The third quarter marked a shift in momentum, as the Bengals' defense shut out the Wolverines after their explosive five-goal second quarter. With strong defensive play fueling their offense, the Bengals added two more goals, extending their lead going into the final quarter.
- In the fourth quarter, the Bengals came out firing, scoring three straight goals to widen the gap. Despite a late push from the Wolverines, the Bengals' defense stood firm, securing the victory and closing out the road game with a well-earned win.

- Gwen Shilling led the Wolverines with five points, scoring four goals and an assist.
- Elyse Kiggins made seven saves in net in this matchup.
