CLERMONT, FL – The Buffalo State softball team fell short in a pair of matchups today against Framingham State and #19 Wisconsin-Stevens Point at day two of THE Spring Games.
GAME ONE BASICS

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Ella Stewart (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) and Cam O'Hare (Troy, NY/Catholic Central) each homered for the Bengals.
- Madison Lucas (Oakdale, PA/West Allegheny) tallied three hits and pitched four innings on the mound.
- Lexi Quagliana (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville South) and Natalie Burck (East Amherst, NY/Williamsville North) each had two hits and an RBI in the effort.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Framingham got the scoring started with three runs in the second innings.
- The Bengals responded immediately with three runs of their own as Stweart hit her first homer as a Bengal. Later that inning, Quagliana and Burck each knocked in a run to even the score.
- After adding a pair of runs in the bottom of the third, the Rams scored four in the sixth on one swing with a grand slam.
- O'Hara homered in the seventh to give the Bengals life, but Framingham was able to hold on for the win.
FOR THE FOES
- Jocelyn Pepe hit the grand slam for the Rams.
- Audrey Gauthier went 4.1 innings allowing one run while striking out eight in relief.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Izzy Pezdek (Lancaster, NY/Grand Island) got the start for the Bengals going five innings while also tallying an RBI at the plate.
- Deme Kellogg (Gansevoort, NY/South Glens Falls) kept her strong start to the season going with an RBI double.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Pointers got on the board in the first inning with a three-run home run.
- Pezdek got the Bengals on the board with a sac bunt to cut the lead to just two.
- Wisconsin-Stevens Point added a pair of insurance runs in each of the fifth and sixth innings.
- Kellogg tallied another RBI hit in the seventh, but the Pointers were able secure the finals outs for the win.
FOR THE FOES
- Hailee Thompson had a home run and five RBI in the win.
- Morgan Harwood pitched four innings allowing an unearned run with three strikeouts.
