BUFFALO, NY – Izzy Pezdek (Lancaster, NY/Grand Island) of the Buffalo State softball team has been named the SUNYAC Pitcher of the Week for her respective performance last week.

Pezdek had a dominant showing coming in relief for the Bengals, picking up two victories as Buffalo State swept Brockport in a doubleheader. In the first game, she tossed five shutout innings, allowing just one walk while striking out six batters. She followed that up with three more shutout innings in the second game, surrendering just one hit and one walk while striking out two. Pezdek's strong performances helped the Bengals sweep the Golden Eagles in a non-conference doubleheader.
