HOW IT HAPPENED
- Riding their "road warriors" mentality, the Buffalo State Bengals aimed to extend their SUNYAC hot streak in a doubleheader against the Oswego State Lakers. The Bengals came out firing, jumping to a first-inning lead thanks to a two-run homer from Hurley. The Lakers answered with a run in the bottom of the second and tied the game in the third.
- The Bengals reignited their offense in the top of the fourth. After Pezdek drew a walk, Cam O'Hara (Troy, NY/Catholic Central) ripped a double, and Lexi Quagliana (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville South) followed with a single to load the bases. Paolilli then doubled to drive in a run, sparking a six-run inning that put the Bengals back in control.
- Although the Lakers pushed across a run in the bottom of the fourth, the combined pitching efforts of Pezdek and Lucas, along with solid team defense, shut down Oswego for the rest of the game, securing a strong game one victory for the Bengals.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a dominant game one win over the Lakers, the Bengals looked to complete the doubleheader sweep, something that's become a familiar theme in their SUNYAC campaign this season. However, the start was rocky, as the Lakers opened the scoring in the bottom of the first.
- The Lakers followed with a four-run second inning, quickly building a five-run lead and catching the Bengals off guard. The Bengals got on the board with a run in the top of the third, but the Lakers responded in the bottom half to restore their five-run cushion. The Bengals added another run in the fifth, yet the Lakers maintained control, tacking on two more in the sixth.
- In the seventh, the Bengals showed signs of life, rallying for two runs to pull within striking distance. But just as the momentum seemed to shift, the Lakers managed to hold…securing the win and denying the Bengals the sweep, handing them their first SUNYAC loss of the season.
FOR THE FOES
