BUFFALO, NY – Buffalo State's Lexi Quagliana (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville South), Cam O'Hara (Troy, NY/Catholic Central), and Madison Lucas (Oakdale, PA/West Allegheny) of the softball team have been recognized for their outstanding academic and athletic accomplishments, earning a selection to the 2025 Softball Academic All-District Team, selected by College Sports Communicators.

To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must display combined excellence in their sport and in the classroom, maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above through at least two full semesters at their institution, while also participating in 90%, or starting 66%, of their team's contests during the season.

Quagliana earns Academic All-District honors with a perfect 4.00 GPA after earning First Team All-SUNYAC for the first time in her career. Quagliana hit .270 on the year with six doubles, two triples, a home run, and 12 RBI while going 13-13 on stolen base attempts. Her stolen base total was in the top 10 in the SUNYAC as she also earned the SUNYAC Elite 20 Award for her efforts in the classroom. In addition, Quagliana is the only Bengal to start all 40 games this season.
 
O'Hara carried a 3.60 GPA into her senior season to earn Academic All-District recognition. O'Hara hit .291 on the season with nine doubles, three home runs, 18 RBI, and a .455 slugging percentage across 37 games played. The senior captain was also on the Dean's List for five semesters since joining Buffalo State.
 
Lucas earns the honor after posting a 3.59 GPA while also earning First Team All-SUNYAC. Lucas paced the Bengals while batting .379 with 11 doubles, 30 RBI, and an .889 OPS. She was third in the conference in RBI and eighth in on-base percentage (.432). Lucas also had a strong year on the mound for the Bengals, going 6-7 with a 2.40 ERA and 56 strikeouts across 78.2 innings pitched.
