CLAREMONT, CA – The Buffalo State women's volleyball team dropped their final two matches of the Pacific Coast Classic as they battled Cal Lutheran and Pomona-Pitzer at Voelkel Gymnasium this afternoon.
GAME ONE BASICS

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Ella Wittman (Cheektowaga, NY/Springville Griffith) paced the Bengals with 14 kills.
- April Jakubowski (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster) dished out 18 assists while Adi Vergara (Rio Grande, Puerto Rico/Kingdom Christian) had 15 digs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bengals took control early in the opening set with a 10-4 to kick off the action.
- Cal Lutheran took a late lead before the Bengals rallied six straight points to take a 21-16 lead. The Regals later came back to score the final five points to win the opening set.
- Buffalo State took an early lead again in the second set, however, the Regals fought back to win the set.
- Cal Lutheran won the final set despite the Bengals efforts.
FOR THE FOES
- Tarin Rueckert led the Regals with 11 kills and three blocks.
- Keegan Corely had 33 digs for Cal Lutheran.

- Wittman led the Bengals again with 12 kills.
- Alex Arroyo (Nesconset, NY/Smithtown East) had 12 assists with Wittman leading the charge with 15 digs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Pomona-Pitzer tallied a late 10-4 run to win the opening set.
- Despite a late push from the Bengals, Pomona-Pitzer took the second set before the decisive third set.
- Another late push from the Bengals wasn't enough as Pomona-Pitzer was able to hang on for the three-set sweep.
FOR THE FOES
- Tene Ariyo tallied 10 kills with Paige Butler dishing out 15 assists.
