HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hobart got the scoring started with a power play goal in the first. The Statesmen scored again on the power play within the first minute of the second period to jump out to a 2-0 lead.
- Murray got the Bengals on the board late in the second period with his third goal of the season.
- The Statesmen scored four goals, including three within the final three minutes of action, in the third period to help secure any late pressure from the Bengals.
FOR THE FOES
- Tristan Fasig scored twice while also picking up an assist.
- Damon Beaver needed to make just 13 saves in goal for the win.
