HOW IT HAPPENED
- Buffalo State got the scoring started with a pair of goals in the opening period. Kaydence Kemp (Niagara Falls, ON/Niagara Falls Rapids) scored on a power play opportunity followed shortly by Carlson's first goal of the evening.
- Carlson scored again early in the second period to open the Buffalo State lead to 3-0.
- After the Mustangs got on the board early in the third period, then Quinn Murray (Stuyvesant, NY/Troy-Albany Ice Cats) sealed the deal late in the period after the Mustangs went empty net.
FOR THE FOES
- Madison Lawrence scored for the Mustangs while Sydney Canham made 26 saves in goal.
