BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State women's basketball team earned their first conference win of the season following a 68-59 victory of the Morrisville Mustangs today at the Sports Arena.

- Amya Moore (Hudson, NY/Hudson) and Mya Brown (Buffalo, NY/Frontier) each tallied a double-double performance combining for 28 points and 25 rebounds. Moore led the Bengals with 18 points and 13 of those rebounds.
- Naya Haymon (Homewood, IL/Homewood-Flossmoor) totaled eight assists with Emily Delisle (Mechanicville, NY/Shenendehowa) snagging three steals.
- As a team, Buffalo State dominated the boards with 52 rebounds compared to the Mustangs 36.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- It was back-and-forth for much of the first quarter as Buffalo State earned an early 17-12 lead.
- The Bengals dominated the Mustangs in the second quarter to carry a 39-22 lead into halftime.
- Coming out the break, the third quarter was again back-and-forth, but the Bengals carried a 16 point lead into the final ten minutes of action.
- Despite a late surge from the Mustangs in the final minutes, Buffalo State was able to hold on for their first conference win of the season.
FOR THE FOES
- Anyssia Ingersoll led the Mustangs with a double-double performance of her own with 21 points and ten rebounds.
