HOW IT HAPPENED
- Continuing their SUNYAC road stretch, the Bengals entered tonight's matchup against the SUNY Canton Roos with high expectations after a week off from their last outing.
- In the first set, the Bengals found their rhythm following their week-long lull, opening play with four straight points. The Roos responded with a three-point rally, but the Bengals flexed their dominance early with a five-point run. The lead gave the Bengals some breathing room late in the set as the Roos fought their way back into the matchup. However, the Bengals handled business, rallying for four straight points to claim the opening-set victory.
- The second set followed a similar script, with the Roos striking first before the Bengals responded with a four-point run. As the set continued, the Bengals once again took control, putting together another four-point run followed by six straight points. The runs helped the Bengals pull away for a second-set victory, putting the Roos in danger of a three-set sweep.
- In the final set, the Bengals looked to finish the SUNYAC matchup strong, opening with back-to-back runs of four straight points. Holding a convincing lead throughout the set, the Bengals faced some pushback from the Roos, who made things difficult down the stretch. However, the late push fell short as the Bengals held on to claim a three-set victory over the Roos, keeping their SUNYAC win streak alive at four straight.
