HOW IT HAPPENED
- Returning to Coyer Field after downing the Mustangs of SUNY Morrisville, the Bengals looked to keep their hot streak rolling as they hosted the Oswego State Lakers in their latest outing of SUNYAC play.
- Opening the first half, the Bengals were forced to play within their defensive zone as the Lakers went on the attack early. This would be the story of the first half, with the Lakers controlling much of the ball possession throughout the matchup. The Bengals were lucky to have Williams in net, as she kept the Bengals in the matchup as the halftime whistle blew, sending both sides into the break tied at zero.
- After the halftime break, it would be the Lakers who struck first, scoring in the 49th minute to take the game's first lead. With time ticking away and the Bengals needing to find a response to the Lakers' attack, Below would finally put the Bengals on the scoreboard, with her equalizer coming in the 83rd minute and finalizing the draw as the full-time whistle came.
FOR THE FOES
- Olivia Davis scored the lone Lakers goal, with Solange Catano-Matip picking up the assist.
- Lucy Starzyk finished with three saves in net for the Lakers.
