HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Closing out their 2025-26 regular season with a two-game road trip, the Bengals made their first stop at SUNY Canton to take on the Roos in this SUNYAC contest.
  • In the opening quarter, both sides struggled to find the back of the net, and the game became a defensive battle. As the Bengals opened the game on a 5-0 run, the Roos would answer back, closing the quarter with four unanswered to retake the lead heading into the second quarter.
  • Play began to open up during the second quarter as both teams developed offensive rhythms. After the Bengals would tie this SUNYAC bout midway through the quarter, the Roos would gain some distance from the Bengals following a 7-0 run. The Bengals would respond with an 8-0 run of their own, closing the gap on the Roos in the final minutes of play. However, a late stretch of shooting from the Roos would send the Bengals trailing by double-digits heading into the halftime break.
  • Exiting the halftime break, the Bengals would claw their way back into this one once again, containing the Roos on the defensive end while finding strong looks at the basket. As the Bengals trimmed their deficit back into single digits, the Roos would respond by tightening up on defense, going on a 16-0 run at the end of the quarter, increasing the Bengals' deficit as play entered the fourth quarter.
  • In the fourth, the Bengals do their best to keep this game within reach, but the Roos defense and strong shooting proved too much for the Bengals to contain, as the Roos fell to the Bengals in this SUNYAC matchup.
FOR THE FOES
  • Kat McRobbie-Taru led all scorers with 20 points, with Siera Pabo finishing with 17 points.
  • As a team, the Roos shot 41.5% from the field, 29.2% from behind the three-point line, and 82.1% from the free-throw line.
