HOW IT HAPPENED
- After picking up a home victory over the Hilbert College Hawks in their last outing, the Bengals hit the road to continue AMCC play with a bout with the Carlow University Celtics.
- In the first set, the Bengals traded points with the Celtics before a four-point run gave them a solid advantage. This run would be key for the Bengals, as the sides continued trading points midway through the first set. A six-point run by the Bengals would push them past the Celtics, securing the first set win in this AMCC bout.
- As play continued into the second set, the Bengals would use the momentum from their first set to carry them through this matchup. Rallying three, four-point rallies in the set, the Bengals would cruise past the Celtics once again, with a three-set sweep in play to close this one out.
- And three sets it would be, as the Bengals would hold firm in this matchup, racking up a four-point run before rattling off a five-point run to motor past the Celtics, securing their eighth straight win and continuing their undefeated run in AMCC play at 11 straight.
FOR THE FOES
- Luke Campana and Rohan Bhattarai led the Celtics with three kills each.
- Defensively, Bhattarai led the Celtics with three digs.
