CLERMONT, FL – The Buffalo State softball team continued action this afternoon at THE Spring Games as they split their first day of action against Farmingdale and Geneseo.
GAME ONE BASICS

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Grace Albano (North Tonawanda, NY/Niagara-Wheatfield)and Lexi Quagliana (Williamsville, MY/Williamsville South) each had three hits.
- Albano also had three RBI in the win.
- Madison Lucas (Oakdale, PA/West Allegheny) got the win on the mound as she gave up just one run over four innings of work.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lucas got the Bengals on the board in the first inning on a ground out. Ashley Jedrich (Victor, NY/Victor) laced an RBI hit of her own to give Buffalo State a 2-0 lead after the first two innings.
- After the Rams got on the board in the third, the Bengals later tallied four runs in the fifth that featured a pair of RBI triples from Albano and Deme Kellogg (Gansevoort, NY/South Glens Falls) and a single from Quagliana.
- The Rams were halted from making any comeback as Danielle Palisin (Fredonia, NY/Fredonia) earned her first career save.

- Samantha Stolfi had a pair of hits for the Rams.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Mya Hurley (Williamsville, NY/Amherst) hammered a three-run home run for the Bengals.
- Three different Bengals picked up a pair of hits.
- Izzy Pezdek (Lancaster, NY/Grand Island) got the start as she struck out four across all seven innings.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Geneseo totaled five runs in the second inning to take control early in the action.
- Kellogg got Buffalo State on the board in the bottom of the second inning with an RBI hit.
- After Geneseo added an insurance run in the top of the fifth, Hurley slugged her first home run of the season to cut the Knights lead to just two runs.
- Buffalo State showed some life in the seventh, but the Knights were able to hold on for the win.
FOR THE FOES
- Lauren Bieniek homered for Geneseo.
- Nevaeh Ross got the win on the mound after four innings of work.
