CLERMONT, FL – The Buffalo State softball team continued action this afternoon at THE Spring Games as they swept both matchups featuring Kalamazoo and Lawrence University.
GAME ONE BASICS

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Erin Paolilli (Poughkeepsie, NY/Arlington) led the Bengals with two hits and two RBI.
- Mya Hurley (Williamsville, NY/Amherst) and Ashley Jedrich (Victor, NY/Victor) each had two hits.
- Jean Rogers (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen) got the win on the mound after three innings and just one hit allowed.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After getting on the board first in the second inning, the Bengals erupted for four runs in the third and another four runs in the fourth.
- Buffalo State capitalized on a trio of errors from Kalamazoo to set the tone for the day, and distance themselves in the action.
- Jedrich had an RBI hit in the fourth which led to Buffalo State earning the win after five innings on the eight-run rule.
FOR THE FOES
- Maddie Potts took the loss on the mound allowing three earned runs over 2.1 innings.
GAME TWO BASICS

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Hurley, Ella Stewart (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park), and Megan Galbraith (Lewiston, NY/Lewiston-Porter) each had two hits in the win.
- Madison Lucas (Oakdale, PA/West Allegheny) got the win on the mound after going 3.1 innings with a pair of strikeouts. Gianna Core (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore East) locked down the save for Buffalo State.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Buffalo State scored in the opening inning and added another run in the third.
- In the top of the fourth, the Bengals added a trio of runs to open a 5-0 lead.
- Despite the Bengals adding insurance in the fifth and sixth, Lawrence rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh.
- Core got the final out on a called strike three as Buffalo State hung on for the day three sweep.
FOR THE FOES
- Avery Chilson went four innings for Lawrence while also picking up a hit and an RBI.

The Bengals are off tomorrow before they return to action in Florida on Monday as they will battle St. Lawrence and Union.
