BUFFALO, NY – Gavin Wilczewski (East Aurora, NY/East Aurora) of the Buffalo State men's volleyball team has been named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Region II Team. In addition, head coach Daniel Miranda was named the AVCA Region II Coach of the Year. Wilczewski is the second player in program history to earn the honor while Miranda earns his first career regional coaching honor.

Wilczewski was a driving force Buffalo State this season tallying 325 kills with a .318 hitting percentage, 44 service aces, 41 assists, 180 digs, and 36 blocks across 101 sets played. He was second in the conference in kills and kills per set, and third in hitting percentage. Wilczewski had three straight matches with over 20 kills against St. John Fisher, Thiel, and Nazareth early in the season and set the program-record for kills in a season, service aces, and points. He also matched the program-record for most kills in a five-set match with 22 against St. John Fisher and again against Mount Union. Wilczewski was twice named the AMCC Offensive Player of the Week.

Miranda earns AVCA Coach of the Year honors after leading the Bengals to a second straight AMCC Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance. Buffalo State posted a record of 28-4 (12-0 AMCC) and have yet to drop a match since joining the conference in 2025. During his three-year tenure, the Bengals have accumulated a combined record of 63-33 and have earned three wins this season over nationally ranked opponents.
