BUFFALO, NY – The AMCC announced its yearly all-conference team and award winners with four members of the Buffalo State men's volleyball team earning recognition in
Gavin Wilczewski (East Aurora, NY/East Aurora)
, Kaden Strong (Buffalo, NY/West Seneca East
), Brady Bowman (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park)
, and
Drew Bowman (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park).
In addition, Wilczewski was named the AMCC Player of the Year,
Kellen Palmer (Buffalo, NY/Canisius) was tabbed AMCC Newcomer of the Year, and head coach
Daniel Miranda repeated as AMCC Coach of the Year.
Wilczewski earned First Team All-Conference for the first time in his career. He was a driving force Buffalo State this season tallying 325 kills with a .318 hitting percentage, 44 service aces, 41 assists, 180 digs, and 36 blocks across 101 sets played. He was second in the conference in kills and kills per set, and third in hitting percentage while also setting the program-record for kills in a season, service aces, and points. Wilczewski was twice named the AMCC Offensive Player of the Week, earned AVCA All-Region honors, and is the second player in program history to earn conference player of the year (
Malachi Jackson in 2025).
Palmer was a staple of the Buffalo State lineup as one of four players to play in all 30 regular season games. He finished his first season in the black and orange with 141 kills, a .299 hitting percentage, and 55 total blocks. In conference play, Palmer tallied 53 kills with a .438 hitting percentage and 15 blocks. He finished sixth in the conference in blocks and is the first player in program history to earn AMCC Newcomer of the Year honors.
Strong earns First Team All-Conference honors for a second straight season. The junior middle blocker played 112 sets for the Bengals with 238 kills, 40 service aces, a .422 hitting percentage, and 88 total blocks. He finished second in the conference in hitting percentage and was fourth in total blocks.
Both Bowman brothers round out the field for the Bengals as they each earned Second Team All-Conference. Drew earns his second straight second team selection while Brady earns the first of his career. For Drew, he competed in 114 sets compiling 956 assists, averaging 8.39 assists per set, with 159 digs and 20 blocks. He led the conference in assists and set the program record for assists in season and in a five-set game after tallying 55 against St. John Fisher. For Brady, his first all-conference selection featured 217 kills, 144 digs, and 15 total blocks. He also finished in the top ten in the conference in total points with 254.5 on the year.
Miranda repeats as AMCC Coach of the Year and was also named AVCA Regional Coach of the Year. Miranda led the Bengals to a 28-4 (12-0 AMCC) record on the year and a second straight conference championship and NCAA Tournament appearance. His team has yet to drop a game in conference play and yet to drop a set in the conference tournament.
