BUFFALO, NY– The Buffalo State softball team swept the Plattsburgh Cardinals today on "Senior Day" as they have officially closed the regular season on a six-game winning streak this afternoon on the Buffalo State Softball Field
GAME ONE BASICS
FINAL SCORE: Buffalo State – 13, Plattsburgh – 7

RECORDS: Buffalo State: 23-11 (11-6 SUNYAC), Plattsburgh: 13-21 (7-10 SUNYAC)
INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Lexi Quagliana (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville South) led the Bengals with three hits and two RBI.
- Six other Bengals drove in at least one run.
- Izzy Pezdek (Lancaster, NY/Grand Island) pitched 6.2 innings allowing four hits, two earned runs, and 12 strikeouts.
- Prior to the game, the Bengals celebrated their seven seniors in Megan Galbraith (Lewiston, NY/Lewiston-Porter), Mya Hurley (Williamsville, NY/Amherst), Deme Kellogg (Gansevoort, NY/South Glens Falls), Madison Lucas (Oakdale, PA/West Allegheny), Grace Albano (North Tonawanda, NY/Niagara-Wheatfield), Jean Rogers (Schenectady, NY/Mohonasen), and Erin Paolilli (Poughkeepsie, NY/Arlington).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bengals got the scoring started in the first inning with an RBI double from Pezdek.
- Natalie Burck (East Amherst, NY/Williamsville North) brought in a run in the second inning before coming around to score on a passed ball. Ella Stewart (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) brought home the Bengals third run of the inning with an RBI hit.
- Buffalo State added four more runs in the third before pushing across three more in the bottom of the fourth.
- The Cardinals rallied for five runs in the fifth that featured a three-run homer from Sara Isaacs.
- Despite the late push from Plattsburgh, Pezdek racked up three strikeouts in the seventh inning to seal the game one win.

- Isaacs had two hits and five RBI in game one.
GAME TWO BASICS
FINAL SCORE: Buffalo State – 10, Plattsburgh – 5
LOCATION: Softball Field – Buffalo, NY
RECORDS: Buffalo State: 24-11 (12-6 SUNYAC), Plattsburgh: 13-22 (7-11 SUNYAC)
INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Four different Bengals had at least two hits with three driving in two runs.
- Lucas got the start in game two, allowing six hits with a pair of strikeouts.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After each side traded a run in the first inning, the Bengals pushed four runs across in the second inning.
- Plattsburgh's offense was held quiet until the fifth inning when they scored three runs to make it a 5-4 game. Quagliana brought in a pair of insurance runs with a two-run single in the bottom half of the inning.
- The Cardnials kept the pressure going with another run in the sixth, however, the Bengals scored three times in the bottom of the inning to build their lead.
- Pezdek came in the game in relief and shut the door on Buffalo State's sixth straight win overall.
FOR THE FOES
- Natalie Rogers and Megan Pillus each had two hits.

The Bengals will head to New Paltz for the SUNYAC Tournament next week as the top-seeded Hawks will host the entire tournament beginning on Thursday.
