ONEONTA, NY – The Buffalo State football team came up short in their non-conference battle with the Hartwick Hawks this afternoon at Wright Stadium.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Amir Cameron (Brooklyn, NY/James Madison) threw for 215 yards and a touchdown.
- JC Dixon II (Niagara Falls, NY/Canisius) rushed for 43 yards and a touchdown while Otho Cox (Nyack, NY/Nyack) posted 104 receiving yards on nine catches.
- JP Plaisime (Brooklyn, NY/South Shore) had six catches for 82 yards and his first career touchdown. Plaisime also had four kickoff returns for 79 total yards.
- On the defensive side, Moses Boadu (Brooklyn, NY/James Madison) led the team with 11 total tackles and a pass breakup while Andrew Williams Jr. (North Tonawanda, NY/North Tonawanda) has 2.5 tackles for loss.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hartwick came out of the gates fast with an early score on their first play of the afternoon. The Hawks would add three more scores in the quarter to jump out to a 28-0 lead.
- The Hawks added a pair of field goals in the second quarter to carry a 34-0 lead into halftime.
- Coming out of the break, Hartwick added another field goal on their first drive of the half. Immediately after, the Bengals were able to get on the scoreboard as Cameron found Plaisime for a 27-yard score. Hartwick would answer with another touchdown to extend their lead to 44-7.
- After a Hawks field goal, the Bengals were able to capitalize on a 81-yard kickoff return from Tyreak Cobb (Floral Park, NY/Floral Park) as Dixon rushed for his first touchdown of the season.
- Hartwick was able to kill the final minutes on the clock to seal the win.
FOR THE FOES
- Ty'Lyn Blackwell-Williams threw for 191 yards and three touchdowns.
- Akil Williams had a 132 rushing yards and a pair of scores while on the defensive side Montega Mack had a pair of interceptions.
