BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo State football team fell 41-7 this afternoon in a non-conference battle against the Alfred State Pioneers on Coyer Field.

INSIDE THE BENGAL BOX SCORE
- Amir Cameron (Brooklyn, NY/James Madison) threw for 128 yards and a touchdown.
- JC Dixon II (Niagara Falls, NY/Canisius) posted 124 yards on the ground while AJ Brooks (Syracuse, NY/Nottingham) had one catch for a 49-yard touchdown.
- Defensively, Brody Stevens (Orchard Park, NY/Orchard Park) led the team with eight total tackles.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Alfred State opened the action with a pair of touchdowns in the opening quarter. To open the second quarter, the Pioneers recovered a fumble on a Buffalo State punt attempt and returned it all the way for another score.
- After an 84-yard touchdown pass from Alfred State, they were able to carry a 27-0 lead into halftime.
- Alfred State scored on their first possession of the second half, however, the Bengals were able to get on the scoreboard as Cameron found Brooks down field for a 49-yard score.
- The Pioneers added another touchdown in the fourth quarter before eventually taking a knee to run out the clock.
FOR THE FOES
- Noah Currier rushed for 216 yards and four touchdowns for the Pioneers while Chase Shepanski threw for 224 yards and a touchdown.
- Defensively, Trevor Maly recorded 12 total tackles including one for a loss.
