Zaccaria Gerosa (New York, NY/U. of Nebraska HS) scored the first goal of the season for Buffalo State while Lesedi Sekhobo (Albany, NY/Shaker) picked up the assist.
Sekhobo led the Bengals with two shots on goal.

HOW IT HAPPENED

After an early opportunity for the Bengals, neither side could generate offensive momentum as the score was 0-0 heading into halftime.
In the middle of the second half, the Lions struck first with a goal to take a 1-0 lead in the action.
Less than five minutes later, Gerosa scored off a pass from Sekhobo to even the score at 1-1.
Neither side had another shot on goal for the remainder of regulation. Buffalo State had nine shots overall with three on goal while the Lions were only able to post one shot on goal.

FOR THE FOES

Aaron Kibaya scored for the Lions while Connor Cross made a pair of saves in goal.
