The sophomore business major was named the SUNYAC Men’s Swimmer of the Meet after claiming three individual conference titles and setting five school records.  Mergler won the 50 free with a school and conference record time of 20.38 seconds which is the fifth-best in Division III this season.  He won the 100 free, also setting school and SUNYAC records, clocking the sixth-fastest time in Division III this year with a mark of 44.74 during the prelims.  Mergler added a conference title in the 200 free, setting school and meet records going 1:39.08, which was 2.28 seconds faster than the runner-up and good for ninth on the national performance list.  He also helped set two more school records in the 200 and 400 free relays.
