Sawyer earns the honor for the fourth time this season, closing out the final meet before NCAA Championships in decisive fashion over the weekend. She set a regional championship meet record of 25.19 seconds in the 200-meter dash for a victory at the AARTFC Championships. The win also propels her to selection to the All-Region squad. The freshman also finished sixth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.93. Sawyer advances to the NCAA Championships in Birmingham, AL next weekend by virtue of top 20 finishes in the country in the 60-meter hurdles and 400-meter dash.
