ADRIAN, MI—Adrian (1-0) handed visiting Buffalo State (0-1) a 5-0 loss in the official opener for both teams tonight at Arrington Ice Arena.

The Bulldogs scored all five goals at even strength, netting one in the first period, two in the second and two more in the third. Adrian outshot the Bengals, 32-19. Alyssa Koniar (New Berlin, WI / Univ. School of Milwaukee) made 19 saves on 22 shots before being relieved by AJ Sliwinski (Clarence, NY / Clarence), who had eight saves and allowed two goals.

Buffalo State will play at Adrian again tomorrow at 2 p.m.
