CORTLAND, N.Y.—Cortland (1-3-1/1-1-1) came from behind twice to tie Buffalo State (0-4-1/0-2-1), 2-2, in an ECAC West game tonight at Alumni Ice Arena.

Leah Knott (Sinking Spring, PA/Wilson) led the Bengals with a goal and an assist. Katie Olejarski (Rockford, IL/Boylan Catholic) also scored for Buffalo State. Kelsey Truran (Berkley, MI/Berkley), Gillian Toneguzzo (Caledonia, ON/McKinnon Park) and Marissa McMullan (Haileybury, ON/Chingaucousy) each chipped in an assist.

Olejarski gave the Bengals a 1-0 lead with a power play goal at the 8:07 mark of the first period. Both teams traded goals in the second stanza, with Cortland tying things at 1-1 with the first of its two power play goals. Knott put the Bengals up again late in the period on a delayed penalty, but the Red Dragons evened things again, scoring at the 7:32 mark of the third.

Alyssa Koniar (New Berlin, WI/Univ. School of Milwaukee) made 29 saves in goal for the Bengals.

Buffalo State and Cortland will face off again tomorrow at 2 p.m.
