CORTLAND, NY—Gillian Toneguzzo (Caledonia, ON/McKinnon Park) scored a power-play goal with just 26 seconds remaining in regulation to give Buffalo State (0-4-2/0-2-2) a 1-1 tie at Cortland (1-3-2/1-1-2) for the second-consecutive day in an ECAC West contest this afternoon at Alumni Arena.

Cortland broke a scoreless tie 1:29 into the final period, before Toneguzzo scored as the Bengals pulled the goalie in the final minute, with assists from Casey Bull (Lockport, NY/Lockport) and Alex Papineau (Stoney Point, ON/St. Annes).

Buffalo State outshot Cortland, 32-24. The Bengals were 1 for 4 on the power play, while the Red Dragons were 0 for 9. Alyssa Koniar (New Berlin, WI/Univ. School of Milwaukee) made 23 saves for Buffalo State.

The Bengals will return to action on the road on Tuesday with a visit to Hamilton College.
