HAMILTON, NY—Hamilton (1-0) scored the game-winner with 3:29 remaining to defeat visiting Buffalo State (0-5-2), 3-2, in a non-conference game tonight at Sage Rink.

The Continentals took a 2-0 lead with an even-strength goal in the first period and a power-play marker in the second. Buffalo State rallied to even the score with a pair of power-play goals by freshmen Leah Knott (Sinking Spring, PA/Wilson) and Brianna Murphy (Depew, NY/Lancaster), her first of her career. Hamilton netted the winner while skating 4-on-4.

Shots on goal were even at 21-21. The Bengals were 2 for 6 on the power play, while the Continentals were 1 for 4. Alyssa Koniar (New Berlin, WI/Univ. School of Milwaukee) made 18 saves for Buffalo State.

Buffalo State will host Oswego for a pair of ECAC West games this Friday and Saturday.
