NEW PALTZ, NY— New Paltz (3-4/2-1) dominated Buffalo State (0-4/0-2) inside, outscoring the Bengals 40-20 in the paint en route to an 85-78 victory in a SUNYAC game today at the Hawk Center.

James Tyndal (Bronx/Msgr. Scanlon) led the Bengals with 20 points, including hitting 6 of 8 from 3-point range. Jamar Gray (Rochester/Bishop Kearney) scored 17 points, and #A.J. White# (Rochester/Bishop Kearney) added 16 points and eight rebounds. Antonio Samedi (St. Albans/Queens Vocational) chipped in 15 points and eight boards, and Antonio Speed (Buffalo/East) had four points and 12 rebounds.

New Paltz led 36-31 at the intermission. Buffalo State hung around and tied the scrore at 64-64 with 4:34 remaining, but the Hawks went on an 8-0 run from there and never led the Bengals get closer than five the rest of the way.

Buffalo State will not play again until Dec. 19 at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Ga.
